When to plant Palm Sedge
Palm sedge is a clump-forming, slowly rhizomatous perennial sedge whose whorled leaves resemble palm fronds. NC State says the plants may be cut to the ground in late winter to show off new spring growth and that it is propagated by division or seed, so set out new plants or divisions as growth resumes in spring. It is a wetland plant that wants a moist to wet site in sun or partial shade.
