When to plant Korean Feather Reed Grass
Korean feather reed grass is a clump-forming warm-season perennial grass grown for its pink-tinted late-summer plumes. NC State directs you to cut the clumps to the ground in late winter before new shoots appear and notes it is best propagated by division, so set out new plants or divisions as that spring growth resumes. It performs well in heavy clay and moist soils and takes more shade than many ornamental grasses.
