When to plant Morning Glory
Common morning glory is a fast-growing annual twining vine whose 2-inch funnel-shaped flowers open in the morning from mid-summer to fall (NC State). Direct sow after the last spring frost in a well-drained, even poor, sunny spot; scarify the seeds and soak them 12 to 24 hours before sowing to aid germination. It self-seeds readily and can become weedy.
