Star jasmine (Confederate jasmine) is an evergreen twining vine grown for its glossy leaves and intensely fragrant creamy-white pinwheel flowers in late spring, with sporadic summer rebloom (NC State: spring). Plant in spring in fertile, well-drained soil in a sheltered, sunny spot; prune after flowering to keep it in bounds. In colder zones grow it as an annual or in a container brought indoors.
