When to plant Creeping Phlox
Creeping phlox is a low native groundcover that blooms in spring (NC State: spring into early summer) with blue-violet to white flowers, spreading by above-ground runners to form a mat. Plant or divide in spring or fall in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil; keep it moist the first year, and deadhead and allow air circulation to prevent powdery mildew.
